Who are you and what is The Fifth Realm?
I'm Ambika Nagino, writing as A. A. Vora. You can check my far less exciting author website for more general information on who I am and what I write. This is also where you'll find press links, a contact form, etc.
Why did you make this website?
I wanted a portion of this information, perhaps 10-20%, to be in an appendix at the back of the book, something I've seen in some of my favorite fantasy novels (e.g., Mistborn, Lord of the Rings). Since that wasn't possible, I decided to make a website. During the process of making this site, I realized I had no page or word count limiting me, and decided to have fun with it and go all out.
Who designed this website and made the art?
Everything was designed / drawn / written / edited by me, which is why this is not super polished and probably never will be. I want one domain over which I can exercise 100% control, and share what I want, when and how I want... and that is this website. But I'd like to give a special shout-out to a special Kate S., for giving me some cool content ideas and suggestions on how to improve the user interface. Kate, you are awesome, although you might hate me after book 2 releases. And a big thank you to Aaryan T. for his keen eye related to chitronic science (you understand it better than me, it would seem).
Can I use the art?
Please feel free to use it for non-commercial purposes. I'd appreciate if you could credit me if you do.
How did you make the art?
By rediscovering my long-forgotten (and admittedly mediocre) middle and high school art skills, spamming Procreate's layers and undo functionality, and watching a bunch of extremely talented ArtTube (is that a word?) creators. The creators I watched (and downloaded brushes from) are linked below. I did not use AI to generate the art on this website.
Are you on social media?
I have an instagram @a2vora that I use on occasion. Hopefully, by the time you are reading this, I will have deactivated said account (truthfully, I dislike having to be on social media as an author; I also dislike doing things I can't put my wholehearted effort into) and started a newsletter instead. However... since it's likely I'll have to suck it up and post once in awhile, feel free to follow me and say hello (the one positive of instagram for me is being able to chat with readers).

I haven't had time to set one up yet. I really want to have a newsletter, but only when I can do it justice. Hopefully soon!
Are you going to update this website?
I will update it at some point before the release of book 2, with information about a new POV character... and perhaps a bit more! I will do this again prior to book 3.
Why are so many parts redacted?
